Missing Woman Arieanna McDorman Located and Taken into Custody
ALLEGHANY COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) – A woman who had been missing since a domestic violence incident involving gunfire has been found and is now in custody, according to the Alleghany County Sheriff’s Office.
Arieanna McDorman had been sought since March 23, when a shooting occurred during a domestic dispute in Botetourt County. By the time deputies arrived at the scene, McDorman was gone. It was unclear whether she left voluntarily with the alleged shooter, Joseph Bray, who remains at large.
On March 26, an Alleghany County deputy stopped a driver in Covington who provided information on McDorman’s whereabouts. Deputies located her later that day in Bath County, where she was wanted on unrelated charges. She was taken into custody and is currently being held without bond.
Authorities have not yet disclosed the specific charges McDorman faces in Alleghany County. Meanwhile, the investigation into the shooting incident involving Bray continues.
