Two Los Angeles men were arrested in connection with a $2,000 retail theft at the Nike Outlet in Barstow, California, authorities said.

On Saturday, February 28, 2026, around 4:10 p.m., Barstow Police were dispatched to the Nike Outlet on Tanger Way after employees reported three Hispanic men removing merchandise from the women’s apparel section and leaving without paying. The total estimated loss exceeded $2,000.

The following day, officers responded to a disturbance in the 2900 block of Lenwood Road and contacted 33-year-old Arcadio Gomez DeLarcuz and 33-year-old Luis Monjarret, both of Los Angeles and on probation. Officers recognized them as suspects in the retail theft.

A subsequent probation search of their vehicle uncovered evidence linking the men to the Nike Outlet theft. Both DeLarcuz and Monjarret were arrested and booked at the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto for grand theft (PC 487(a)).

Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
