ONTARIO — Peel Regional Police’s 21 Division Community Intervention Response Team has arrested two Brampton men in connection with a series of high-value thefts from LCBO stores across the region.
Anuj Kumar, 25, is suspected of being responsible for numerous thefts this year involving approximately $300,000 worth of stolen alcohol. Simarpreet Singh, 29, is also believed to have participated in the coordinated thefts.
Following the investigation, Kumar and Singh were charged with 35 offenses, including theft, possession of property obtained by crime, and four drug-related charges. Authorities also executed four outstanding arrest warrants during the arrests.
Both men were held for bail hearings. The investigation is ongoing, with police expecting further arrests and charges.
