Man Arrested in Fatal Golden Gate Robbery Shooting
GOLDEN GATE, Fla. — A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of Juan Coc Xo during a robbery in Golden Gate, authorities said.
According to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO), the incident occurred around 2 a.m. on August 17 along 41st Terrace Southwest. Xo, 54, was walking home with a friend when a vehicle pulled up and attempted to rob them.
Xo refused to give up his belongings and was fatally shot, investigators said.
Detectives later identified Anthony Michael Felix as the suspect. On Sunday at 1:54 a.m., deputies stopped a vehicle near Vanderbilt Road and U.S. 41 and found Felix inside as a passenger.
Felix was taken into custody and booked into the Naples Jail Center. He now faces a second-degree murder charge.
“I’m proud of our detectives for their determination in this case,” said Sheriff Kevin Rambosk. “They poured through the evidence to identify the suspect, then continued the search for Felix as he tried to evade law enforcement.”
The investigation remains ongoing.
