ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. — Anthony Tyrone McIntosh II was arrested following a significant drug bust by the Anderson County Sheriff’s Narcotics Investigation Unit.
On the evening of the arrest, deputies attempted to pull over a GMC Sierra for a traffic stop. However, the driver, McIntosh, allegedly sped off, prompting deputies to pursue him. The chase continued down Monroe Street, where McIntosh exited the truck, grabbed a black bag, and fled on foot, hopping a nearby fence.
Despite a search of the area, McIntosh was taken into custody, but the bag was not immediately located. Investigators later traced the bag to a car, where they discovered not only the bag but also a significant stash of drugs and cash.
Authorities seized the following:
Over 14 pounds of methamphetamine (6,667 grams)
More than 4 pounds of fentanyl (2,190 grams)
Over 3 pounds of cocaine (1,515 grams)
14 grams of crack cocaine
More than $161,000 in cash
One kilo press
McIntosh has been charged with failure to stop for blue lights and trafficking in meth, fentanyl, cocaine, and crack cocaine. He is currently being held at the Anderson County Detention Center, awaiting further legal proceedings.
The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the case, as this bust represents a significant seizure of dangerous narcotics and cash in the community.
