Imbotero, Guyana – A major drug bust in the North West District of Guyana has led to the seizure of approximately 211.7 kilograms (465.7 pounds) of cocaine and the arrest of five individuals, including the primary suspect, Anthony Hosea Beria, also known as Anthony Hosea Yispen and alias “Negro.”
According to Guyana Police Headquarters, the operation was part of a series of intelligence-led raids carried out on Tuesday. Initially, law enforcement officers raided Beria’s residence and a fuel storage facility. While no drugs were found at the property, authorities confiscated 11 cellphones and three handheld radios. Beria reportedly fled the scene armed with a firearm before the raid.
Subsequent investigations led to the arrests of four other individuals, each of whom directed officers to separate stash locations along Imbotero Creek, where multiple salt bags packed with cocaine were discovered.
