Anthony Hester Arrested for Robbery, Vehicle Theft in Topeka

33-year-old suspect held on $100K bond after gas station incident

TOPEKA, KS – A 33-year-old man was arrested over the weekend following a robbery and vehicle theft in southeast Topeka, authorities reported.

The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Amoco gas station located at 2901 S.E. Fremont St. Police said the suspect, Anthony George Aubert Hester, allegedly threatened the victim before stealing their vehicle. Officials confirmed that Hester and the victim knew each other.

Arrest & Charges
Following an investigation, officers located and arrested Hester in the 2100 block of S.E. Swygart Street. He was booked into the Shawnee County Jail on charges of:

Robbery
Theft of a motor vehicle
Hester is currently being held on a $100,000 bond. No injuries were reported in the incident.
