SOLON, Ohio (WOIO) — Two adults were arrested in Solon on Saturday after allegedly stealing $23,000 worth of electronics in a distraction-style armed robbery at a T-Mobile store — with a 4-year-old child in tow.
The incident occurred around 11:40 a.m. at the T-Mobile on SOM Center Road. According to police, the heist involved 32-year-old Anthony Gore of Bedford and 27-year-old Erica Mosley of Cleveland, along with Mosley’s 4-year-old son.
Store employees reported that Mosley entered the store with the child and engaged a worker in conversation. As the employee briefly stepped into the back room, Gore allegedly burst in with a firearm and pointed it at the worker, demanding he fill a garbage bag with cell phones and tablets.
After the theft, the suspects fled the scene, leaving the employee alone in the store.
A swift police search led officers to a parked vehicle nearby containing cell phone boxes. Shortly after, police located the suspects hiding in the area with the child.
Police recovered approximately $4,000 in stolen goods.
Anthony Gore has been charged with aggravated robbery.
Erica Mosley faces charges of complicity to aggravated robbery and child endangering.
The child was safely turned over to a family member, and both suspects were booked into custody.
