BRANFORD, Conn. — A Branford man is in custody following a deadly incident on Hemlock Road.
Police arrested Anthony Andrew Esposito Jr., 52, on Thursday in connection with the homicide, charging him with murder with special circumstances and attempted murder. He is currently being held on a $3 million bond.
The homicide occurred at 4 p.m. on Hemlock Road. Due to the sensitive nature of the case and out of respect for the victim’s family, police are withholding further details at this time.
Branford police have confirmed that there is no ongoing threat to the public. They are continuing their investigation and processing evidence at the scene.
In response to the tragedy, Branford Police are collaborating with Branford Public Schools to provide grief counselors and support resources for affected students and staff.
