Anthony Donell Pigott Arrested for Huntsville Credit Union Robbery

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – Anthony Donell Pigott, 31, was arrested on Friday evening in connection to the robbery of the Redstone Federal Credit Union in Huntsville. According to the Huntsville Police Department, the robbery took place just before 1:30 p.m. when an individual entered the business on Lawsons Ridge and demanded cash.

Initially, the witness reported that a woman had committed the robbery, but further investigation revealed the suspect, later identified as Pigott, had disguised himself as a woman. After the robbery, Pigott took a cab back home, leading authorities to locate him as a person of interest on Terracotta Lane.

By early Saturday morning, the police confirmed they had identified Pigott as the suspect and took him into custody. He was charged with first-degree robbery and booked into the Madison County Jail without bond.

The investigation is ongoing as Huntsville Police continue to gather information on the robbery.
