JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. – Anthen Jones, a suspect involved in two separate burglaries, was arrested on March 8 after stealing more than $100,000 in merchandise from a local warehouse.
The initial burglary occurred on November 28, when the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) received a report of a warehouse theft worth approximately $52,000. After identifying a suspect vehicle and tag number registered to Jones, investigators worked tirelessly to gather evidence for an arrest.
On March 8, JCSO received a second report of a burglary at the same warehouse, this time resulting in a $62,000 theft. Investigators determined that Jones was heading to North Alabama with the stolen goods, and a BOLO (Be On the Lookout) was issued to the Alabama Highway Patrol.
Troopers conducted a traffic stop on Jones’ vehicle, discovering both Jones and the stolen property inside. Upon questioning, Jones admitted to both burglaries.
Jones was arrested and taken to Elmore County Jail. He will be transported back to Jackson County, where he faces charges of two counts of Burglary of an Unoccupied Structure, two counts of Grand Theft Over $20,000 Under $100,000, and two counts of Dealing in Stolen Property.
