ANNAPOLIS, Md. — The Anne Arundel County Office of the Sheriff confirmed that Corporal Anthony Nickoles, 42, was arrested on March 26, 2025, and charged with multiple offenses, including:
Sexual abuse of a minor
Third-degree sexual offense
Fourth-degree sexual offense (two counts)
Second-degree assault (two counts)
Upon learning of the allegations, the Sheriff’s Office immediately referred the investigation to the Anne Arundel County Police Department, ensuring an independent and thorough review.
The Anne Arundel County Sheriff’s Office’s Office of Professional Compliance is fully cooperating with the investigation, emphasizing the importance of upholding the highest standards of integrity and accountability. Given that this is an active case, all inquiries are being directed to the Anne Arundel County Police Department.
