Delhi Police arrested 33-year-old Ankur on April 4, 2025, after a two-month search in connection with the murder of his neighbor, Lakhan. Ankur was apprehended in Ghaziabad, where he had been evading arrest since the incident occurred.
The tragic incident unfolded on the night of January 25-26, 2025, when Ankur, along with his brothers Rohan and Ankit, allegedly attacked their neighbor Lakhan following a heated argument over a Rs 50,000 loan. The attack left Lakhan seriously injured, and he later succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.
Rohan, Ankur’s brother, was arrested earlier in connection with the murder, but Ankur and Ankit had been on the run until Ankur was tracked down in Ghaziabad. During questioning, Ankur confessed to his involvement in the crime.
The police are continuing their investigation into the case, with efforts underway to locate Ankit and uncover more details surrounding the murder.
