Anil Mistrilal Rajbhar Arrested in Bhandup Gold Theft

House burglary yields gold jewellery worth Rs 8.64 lakh

The Bhandup police have arrested 38-year-old Anil Mistrilal Rajbhar in connection with a house theft in Bhandup West, where gold jewellery valued at Rs 8.64 lakh was stolen.

The incident occurred on January 19, and the accused allegedly wore gloves to avoid leaving fingerprints or other forensic evidence. The complaint was filed by Poonam Hemant Gaud (43), a tailor residing at the property.

Rajbhar, a garment salesman from Sakinaka, originally hails from Jaunpur district, Uttar Pradesh. Police traced and identified him through CCTV footage, leading to his arrest.

Authorities have recovered the stolen gold ornaments and confirmed that further investigations are underway to determine if he is connected to other similar thefts in the area.
