A Perry man, Angel Moises Ortega Velasquez, 20, was arrested following two incidents on Saturday, September 13th, involving harassment and burglary.
Perry Police responded to reports of verbal threats made by Ortega Velasquez to a female victim, who shares a young child with him. According to court documents, Ortega Velasquez allegedly threatened the victim and her family with firearms if he did not get to see his daughter.
Later that evening, police were notified of an alleged burglary. A woman reported that Ortega Velasquez unexpectedly appeared inside her garage but claimed he was confused about the address before leaving the scene.
Officers arrested Ortega Velasquez near Perry High School’s football field. He faces a Class D felony charge for third-degree burglary and an aggravated misdemeanor for first-degree harassment. Ortega Velasquez is currently held in Dallas County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
