Andrew Silvey Arrested in Rome for Drug Possession

Rome man faces multiple drug charges after home search

ROME — A 43-year-old man was arrested this week on multiple drug-related charges after authorities discovered illegal substances during a home search.

Police reports state that Andrew Steven Silvey was found in possession of a THC vape, a clear plastic bag containing suspected methamphetamine and marijuana, and a blue smoking device at a residence on Elliott Drive.

Silvey has been charged with possession of methamphetamine, two counts of possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, possession of drug-related objects, and probation violation, according to officials.

Authorities have confirmed Silvey remains in custody as the case proceeds through the legal system.
