HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A West Michigan man has been charged in connection with a November shooting that left two people injured in Holland Township.
Andrew Louis Harper, 48, of Holland, faces assault with intent to murder, felonious assault, and felony firearm charges under the habitual offender act — fourth-offense notice, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office. His bond was set at $500,000 cash or surety.
The charges stem from a Nov. 15 incident on Douglas Avenue near North River Avenue. Deputies said an argument at a nearby business escalated into gunfire in the parking lot. Several cars were struck, and two men, ages 27 and 25, were injured. The 27-year-old was hospitalized with non-life-threatening wounds and has since been released. The 25-year-old suffered minor injuries.
Harper was identified as the suspect and arrested Friday. He remains in custody at the Ottawa County Jail.
