HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — A Florida couple has been arrested in connection with a series of business robberies that took place throughout July and August.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, working alongside the FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), apprehended Andres Correa Jr., 39, and Cassandra Kerr, 46, on Tuesday.
Investigators found that during each robbery, Correa Jr. brandished a firearm, threatened employees and customers, and stole an undisclosed amount of money. Kerr was identified as the getaway driver, transporting Correa Jr. to and from the robbery locations.
Numerous pieces of evidence were recovered during the investigation, including a firearm believed to have been used in the crimes.
Both Correa Jr. and Kerr were charged with multiple counts of robbery. The case remains under active investigation.
