The Delhi Police Crime Branch’s Anti‑Narcotics Task Force has successfully arrested two major interstate drug traffickers, Anas Khan (26) and Sudheer Kumar (27), seizing over 1.05 kg of high‑purity heroin valued at more than Rs 5 crore on the international market.
Acting on credible intelligence about a heroin consignment entering Delhi from Badaun, Uttar Pradesh, a team conducted a targeted raid on July 1 near the Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital on Zero Pusta Road. During the operation, officers intercepted a white car in which the duo was caught handing over the heroin to an associate linked to another suspect, Mohammad Faiz.
A search under the NDPS Act led to the recovery of 1,053 grams of heroin—527 grams from Khan and 526 grams from Kumar—and the vehicle used for delivery was also seized. The case has been formally registered with the Crime Branch Police Station under relevant NDPS sections.
This operation marks a significant blow to interstate drug trafficking networks and underscores the Delhi Police’s ongoing efforts to dismantle narcotics supply chains into the city.
