El Paso, TX — 47-year-old Raul Hermelindo Ayala was arrested on Wednesday for his involvement in the theft of a Can-Am ATV, which took place in the 12800 block of Sparks, according to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.

On Saturday, deputies from the East Montana Patrol Station responded to a call regarding the stolen ATV. Upon arriving at the scene, deputies discovered multiple shoe impressions near the property and reviewed surveillance footage, which helped identify the suspect involved in the theft.

Their investigation led them to a home in the 13100 block of Mark Twain, where the stolen ATV was found. Deputies then identified Ayala as the suspect and issued two criminal warrants for his arrest.

The Crime Scene Unit also responded to the scene, collecting fingerprints and additional evidence to further support the case.

Ayala was arrested and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility, facing charges of Theft (Property Value $2,500–$30,000), with a $15,000 bond, and Criminal Trespass, with a $300 bond.
