Amy Esposito Arrested for Allegedly Hitting Daughter with Power Surge Protector

Amy Kimberly Esposito, 32, was arrested on January 31 after allegedly striking her 8-year-old daughter in the head with a power surge protector in their apartment. The incident took place around 9:15 p.m., and police reports state that Esposito appeared intoxicated, possibly under the influence of both drugs and alcohol, based on her behavior.

Esposito was charged with felony endangering the welfare of a child, along with simple assault and disorderly conduct. After being arraigned before District Judge Denise Dieter, she was held on $15,000 bail.

This isn’t Esposito’s first brush with the law. In May 2024, she was charged with marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia after police responded to a welfare check on her child. Upon opening the door, officers allegedly detected the strong smell of burnt marijuana.
