Amsterdam, NY — Adianez Aguilera-Battistini, a 34-year-old woman from Amsterdam, was arrested on April 7, 2025, after a six-month investigation into the illegal sale of narcotics.
Aguilera-Battistini was taken into custody by members of the Amsterdam Police Department under an active arrest warrant issued by City Court Judge Lisa Lorman.
She is facing several charges, including criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, and conspiracy in the fourth degree.
Aguilera-Battistini was arraigned in Amsterdam City Court and, in accordance with New York State’s bail reform laws, was released on her own recognizance. She is scheduled for a future court appearance.
Authorities revealed that during the investigation, Aguilera-Battistini allegedly sold a controlled substance to a police source.
The investigation, which involved the New York State Police, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, and the office of Montgomery County District Attorney Christina Pearson, is ongoing, and additional charges may follow.
