Kissimmee, FL – Two people have been arrested in connection with a robbery that took place at the Red Lion Hotel in Kissimmee on April 26, after a man was lured under false pretenses through an online encounter.
According to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, the victim had traveled to meet a woman he knew only as “Amber,” a contact he met online. After spending the evening together, they returned to the victim’s hotel room at 5150 W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway. But what seemed like a routine meetup quickly turned dangerous.
Inside the hotel room, the woman opened the door for a masked man to enter. Deputies reported that the intruder, wearing a ski mask and keeping his hands near his waistband as if armed, stood by while “Amber” took the victim’s wallet, phone, and keys. She then demanded his debit card PINs, and fearing for his safety, the victim complied.
Roughly 15 minutes later, the woman returned the stolen items and left with the masked man. When the victim checked his bank account, he found that $2,180 had been withdrawn.
Investigators later identified “Amber” as Amandalee Kasilowski, 29, who was arrested on May 6. She faces charges including:
Unarmed Home Invasion
Kidnapping to Facilitate a Felony
Robbery without a Firearm
Credit Card Fraud
The male suspect was identified as Iain Cade-Alamin Petrie, 25, who was arrested on May 22. He faces similar charges:
Unarmed Home Invasion
Kidnapping to Facilitate a Felony
Robbery without a Firearm
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office stated that the incident appears to be isolated, but the investigation remains active. Authorities encourage anyone with information to contact their office directly.
