RALEIGH, N.C. – A 31-year-old woman, Amanda Farrington, has been arrested in connection with a weekend shooting that left another woman seriously injured.
The incident occurred on Hoyle Drive near Matt Drive on Saturday. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck. The victim was transported to a hospital with serious injuries, authorities said.
According to police, the shooting followed a verbal altercation between Farrington and the victim. During the dispute, Farrington allegedly fired several shots and stole the woman’s eyeglasses.
Farrington has been charged with:
Assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill
Robbery with a dangerous weapon
The Raleigh Police Department confirmed that the investigation is ongoing.
