In a significant development, Bidar police have identified two prime suspects in the sensational Rs83 lakh ATM robbery and murder case that shocked the state earlier this year.

The accused have been named as:

Aman Kumar Rajkishore Singh, a native of Fatehpur Fulwaria, Vaishali district, Bihar

Alok Kumar, alias Ashutosh Shatrughan Prasad Singh, hailing from Mahisaur, also in Vaishali district

The incident took place on January 16 at Shivaji Chowk, where two armed men on motorcycles attacked a Cash Management Services (CMS) team during an ATM cash refill operation.

During the brazen daylight attack, cash custodian Giri Venkatesh was shot dead on the spot, and another CMS staff member, Shivakumar, sustained critical injuries. The attackers then fled with Rs83 lakh in cash.

Investigations led police to identify the suspects based on technical surveillance, local inputs, and connections traced back to Bihar. Both accused have a history of involvement in organized crime and are believed to be part of a larger network targeting cash transit operations.

A manhunt is currently underway to apprehend the duo.
