In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, Manipur Police and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) jointly arrested three individuals with over 100 kilograms of WY tablets in Thoubal district, authorities confirmed on Friday.
The massive seizure occurred near Lilong police station during a coordinated operation. Among the arrested are two men from Assam — Amaldas Xalxo of Golaghat and Mahedi Alom of Morigaon — along with Mohammad Khurshid from Lilong Hangamthabi in Manipur.
Law enforcement also confiscated a truck and a four-wheeler used in the transportation of the contraband. Police officials stated that investigations are ongoing to uncover the full network behind the smuggling attempt.
