by Sophia Bennett

A third suspect has been arrested in connection with a reported robbery and theft of a dog stemming from an ownership dispute in Henderson, Kentucky.

Authorities say 21-year-old Alysscia Cooper is charged with robbery and intimidation with a deadly weapon. Two other individuals — Nykeia Baker and Wykeia Collins — were previously charged in the case.

According to an affidavit, Baker and Collins identified Cooper during a phone interview with investigators. Collins reportedly claimed she struck two people during the incident at Cooper’s direction.

Cooper allegedly told authorities she was present with Baker and Collins when the robbery occurred. She stated that she only physically intervened to break up a fight between two women in a bathroom.

Investigators say Cooper also admitted to threatening the dog inside the home and acknowledged having a firearm in her possession at the time. She further claimed she knew beforehand that Baker and Collins intended to retrieve the dog before they approached the residence.

Cooper was booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail on a $10,000 bond.
