Alwar Police Bust Gang, Recover Rs47L Stolen Electronics

Seven Arrested in Flipkart Logistics Theft Case

by Ananya Mehta

In a major breakthrough against online fraud and logistics theft, Alwar Police have dismantled an inter-state gang involved in stealing high-value electronics from a Flipkart transport truck. Acting under the supervision of SP Sudhir Chaudhary, the Laxmangarh police team arrested seven accused and recovered 108 stolen items worth approximately Rs47 lakh, including iPhones and laptops.

The case began on October 7, when Lakhan Pal Singh, owner of Amrit Singh Motor Transport Company, reported that two men posing as truck drivers had used fake documents to collect a Flipkart truck from its Bhiwandi warehouse in Maharashtra. The truck, carrying 234 high-value electronic items—including 221 iPhone 16 units, other premium smartphones, and laptops—never reached its destination.

Investigation revealed that the accused drivers, Afzal and Aslam (who gave false names as Nasir Khan and Chahat Khan), were part of a larger organized network. The gang operated using inside information from within Flipkart’s logistics system. A member named Lokesh allegedly provided details of high-value shipments, enabling the gang to apply for temporary driving contracts with fake IDs, collect loaded trucks, and steal goods mid-route by breaking locks. Stolen items were later sold at discounted prices through illegal channels.

Following swift action, Afzal and Aslam were arrested in Laxmangarh, and Sudhir Yadav from Tijara on the same day. Later, Tushar Yadav (Haryana), Vikram Singh (Uttar Pradesh), Jaipal Yadav (Khairthal, Tijara), and Manish (Gautam Buddh Nagar, UP) were also apprehended.

Recovered from the accused were:

88 Apple iPhones

20 other branded smartphones

2 Apple laptops

1 Samsung tablet

1 WagonR car used in the crime

SP Chaudhary stated that the gang’s mastermind, Lokesh, remains absconding, and police are investigating internal collusion and cross-state links to recover the remaining stolen goods.

The case highlights meticulous coordination and intelligence-led policing, cracking a sophisticated inter-state electronics theft network.
