CHICAGO – Two men have been arrested and charged following a gunpoint carjacking of a woman in Chicago’s Bronzeville neighborhood last Friday afternoon.
The incident occurred around 3 p.m. in the 4700 block of South Calumet Avenue, according to the Chicago Police Department (CPD). A 25-year-old woman was carjacked by two armed suspects who fled in her vehicle.
Police later identified and arrested Alphanso Talley, 25, and Donvon Mcclary, 21, as the suspects. Both have been charged with aggravated armed vehicular hijacking and armed robbery.
Talley also faces charges for driving without a license, received a traffic citation, and had three outstanding warrants at the time of arrest. Mcclary was additionally charged with felony possession of a weapon.
Authorities released Mcclary’s mugshot, though no photo was provided for Talley. Both suspects were scheduled for detention hearings on Sunday.
