Decatur, Ala. – Aloysius Sears, 31, was arrested after three warrants were issued for fraudulent use of a stolen credit/debit card. The investigation began on January 20, when a Decatur resident reported their card had been stolen during a burglary.

Detectives from both the Financial Crimes and Property Crimes units worked together to track the use of the stolen card. Surveillance footage revealed the suspect to be Sears, who was seen using the card at a business in the 200 block of Austinville Road shortly after the burglary.

On February 12, three warrants for Sears’ arrest were issued for fraudulent use of the stolen card. Sears was released from Madison County Jail on April 1, and was immediately transported to the Morgan County Jail, where he was booked for his warrants. He is currently being held on a $3,000 bond.
