Miami Beach police arrested 25-year-old Allyson Maza, who is accused of stealing $32,400 worth of valuables, including a Rolex watch, from a man she met on Instagram. Although the theft occurred on May 31, 2023, authorities were able to identify Maza some time later.
The break in the case came during a traffic stop, where police discovered Maza’s identity and made the connection to the stolen items. When arrested, Maza initially denied any involvement in the crime, but investigators quickly realized she was wearing the stolen Rolex on her wrist.
According to police, Maza and the victim met online and arranged to meet in person. After picking her up at the Motel 6 in Dania Beach, the man took her to his room in Miami Beach, where they spent the night. The next morning, the victim woke up to find Maza gone, along with several valuable items, including the $18,000 Rolex, a gold chain, a camera, and a Louis Vuitton handbag.
Hotel surveillance footage confirmed Maza’s involvement as she was seen leaving the property with the stolen goods. The victim then reported the theft to the police, providing Maza’s details, which ultimately led to her identification and arrest. It is currently unclear where Maza is being held or what charges she faces.
