KIRBYVILLE, Texas — A 58-year-old Texas woman, identified as Alishia Robin Blevins, was arrested after allegedly threatening a man with a gun and impersonating a police officer, according to the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded around 8:30 p.m. on Friday to a report of criminal trespass. When they arrived, they found Blevins with a man seated on the road in front of his vehicle.
Blevins reportedly told deputies the man was an illegal immigrant trespassing on her property, but investigators later determined he had not entered or remained on her property.
Authorities said Blevins approached the man with a firearm, demanding his identification, cellphone, keys, and proof of insurance. She allegedly forced him to exit his vehicle and sit on the road until law enforcement arrived.
Witnesses told deputies that Blevins claimed to be a police officer and even called the man’s wife from his phone, saying her husband was “going to jail.”
The sheriff’s office also said Blevins placed a large German Shepherd, which she claimed was a Harris County K-9, inside the man’s vehicle to prevent him from fleeing, warning that the dog would attack if he tried to leave.
Blevins was arrested and charged with terroristic threat causing fear of serious bodily injury and booked into the Jasper County Jail. Officials said additional charges for impersonating a peace officer may follow.
Immigration authorities have been contacted to investigate the man’s status.
