Asheville, N.C. — A woman on parole was arrested after Asheville police uncovered a large amount of drugs during a traffic stop on November 9.
At approximately 9:21 p.m., officers observed a vehicle committing several traffic violations north of downtown Asheville. A traffic stop was made on Crescent Street, where officers discovered 9 grams of fentanyl, 25 grams of methamphetamine, six doses of Oxycodone, and other drug-related items, along with $240 in cash.
The driver, identified as Alexis Helena Cromer, was taken into custody without incident. Cromer now faces multiple charges, including trafficking fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, felony possession of Schedule II substances, and drug paraphernalia possession. She also faces charges for parole violations and traffic offenses. Cromer is being held in the Buncombe County Detention Facility under no bond due to her parole violation.
Cromer had been sentenced to prison in June 2023 for second-degree burglary and was released on parole in April 2024.
