BARSTOW, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A 31-year-old man was arrested in Long Beach after authorities linked him to multiple retail thefts, including one in Barstow where he allegedly stole $1,800 worth of merchandise.
Officers responded to the theft on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at 11:19 a.m. at a business in the 2700 block of Tanger Way. Witnesses reported that a Hispanic male entered the store, took merchandise, and fled.
Barstow Police were able to obtain the suspect vehicle’s license plate and entered it into a law enforcement database, alerting allied agencies.
Later that day, at approximately 4:42 p.m., the California Highway Patrol Retail Task Force located the vehicle in Long Beach. The suspect, Alejandro Delarosa, a resident of Orange, was arrested after allegedly committing another theft at the same retail chain.
Barstow Police assisted the CHP Retail Task Force during the investigation, which revealed that Delarosa was linked to numerous thefts across multiple counties. Authorities recovered over $10,000 in stolen merchandise during the investigation.
Delarosa was booked into the Los Angeles County Jail for PC 459 – Commercial Burglary.
