Alejandro Cruz Arrested in Dickinson Drug and Firearm Raid

Cocaine, shotgun, and body armor seized during SWAT operation

Dickinson, TX – May 6, 2025:
A coordinated operation by the Galveston County Organized Crime Task Force (OCTF), Crime Reduction Unit (CRU), and SWAT team led to the arrest of 53-year-old Alejandro Cruz in Dickinson following the execution of a search warrant at 3513 Missouri Avenue.

Inside the residence, officers discovered a shotgun, body armor, and a small quantity of cocaine. The items were processed by the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Unit.

Cruz, a convicted felon, now faces three felony charges:

Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon – $100,000 bond

Unlawful Possession of Metal or Body Armor by a Felon – $100,000 bond

Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance (under 1g) – $100,000 bond

The OCTF includes personnel from the League City, Dickinson, and La Marque Police Departments. Officials praised the support from CRU, SWAT, and CSU units in the success of the operation.
