El Paso Woman Arrested in Fatal South El Paso Stabbing
EL PASO, TX – A 27-year-old woman has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with the fatal stabbing of a man at a South El Paso residence, police said.
Alejandra Ramirez, of El Paso, was taken into custody on Tuesday, September 16, following the Monday, September 15 death of Jorge Serna, 63. Authorities responded to a stabbing incident at a home in South El Paso, where Serna was found with fatal injuries.
According to a statement from El Paso Police Department spokesperson Officer Adrian Cisneros, Ramirez was arrested on suspicion of murder and booked into the county jail.
She appeared remotely for a bond hearing on Wednesday, September 17, before 168th District Court Judge Marcos Lizagarra, who set her bond at $200,000. Ramirez remains in custody, according to jail records.
The motive and circumstances surrounding the stabbing are still under investigation.
