Two Arrested After Double Stabbing in Citrus Heights Business

CITRUS HEIGHTS, Calif. — Two young men have been arrested following a stabbing incident that injured two others during a fight inside a business on Auburn Boulevard.

Citrus Heights Police responded around 12:15 p.m. Sunday to reports of a stabbing in the 7900 block of Auburn Boulevard. According to 911 callers, an argument between two groups escalated into violence, resulting in two men being stabbed.

Emergency responders arrived and transported the injured men to a nearby hospital. Both are expected to recover.

Police later located the suspects, 18-year-old Alejando Roque Jr. and 19-year-old Moses Leyva, during a traffic stop in Antelope. Two handguns were recovered from their vehicle.

Roque has been charged with felony battery causing serious bodily harm and carrying a concealed firearm. Leyva faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon and carrying a concealed firearm. Both suspects were booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail.

Authorities have not disclosed the motive but confirmed the incident stemmed from a verbal dispute.
