BUCKS COUNTY, PA — A 64-year-old Yardley man has been sentenced to jail after pleading guilty to a months-long campaign of politically motivated harassment and vandalism across Lower Makefield Township.
Alaric Dalberg entered an open guilty plea before Judge Wallace H. Bateman Jr. to charges of stalking, harassment, disorderly conduct, and criminal mischief. On October 7, 2025, Judge Bateman sentenced him to two to 23 months in county jail, followed by 36 months of probation.
Dalberg was also fined $1,000, ordered to perform 100 hours of non-political community service, and must have no contact with the victims. He will also pay full restitution for the property damage he caused.
Prosecutors said Dalberg’s actions, which occurred between October 2024 and February 2025, targeted several residents, including a 76-year-old senior citizen. Victims reported finding screws and nails scattered in their driveways, particularly those who displayed Donald Trump campaign signs.
Dalberg also repeatedly vandalized a supermarket employee’s car and parking space. Surveillance footage and matching nails found in his vehicle linked him to the crimes, which he later admitted were politically motivated.
During sentencing, Judge Bateman condemned Dalberg’s deliberate actions.
“Just because you disagree with their political or personal views, do you decide to victimize them? It’s completely, unequivocally unacceptable,” he said.
District Attorney Jennifer Schorn praised investigators, stating,
“We will not tolerate politically motivated violence or threats of violence, ever.”
The case was investigated by Detective Richard Meehl of the Lower Makefield Township Police Department and prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Edward Furman Jr.
