Alamance County School Principal Arrested for Pet Insurance Fraud

Robert Grayson Dail Charged with Felony Fraud for Forged Vet Invoices

ALAMANCE COUNTY, N.C. — Robert Grayson Dail, the principal of B. Everett Jordan Elementary School, was arrested on December 5 and charged with multiple felony offenses related to insurance fraud, according to the North Carolina Department of Insurance (NCDOI).

Dail, 35, allegedly attempted to defraud Nationwide Insurance Co. by submitting falsified and forged veterinary invoices on December 28, 2023, in order to collect money under false pretenses.

Dail voluntarily turned himself in to Alamance County deputies on December 5. He was charged with felony insurance fraud, felony attempting to obtain property by false pretense, felony common law forgery, and felony common law uttering.

The principal was released after posting a $25,000 unsecured bond and made his first court appearance on December 6 in Alamance County District Court.

In response to the arrest, Alamance-Burlington School System (ABSS) announced that Dail has been suspended while the matter is being investigated.
