Al Villane Convicted of Murder in 2022 Niagara Falls Stabbing

Faces up to 25 years to life for fatal stabbing of Hollis Stewart

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Niagara Falls man has been convicted of second-degree murder in connection with a fatal stabbing that took place in September 2022, according to the Niagara County District Attorney’s Office.

Al Villane, 35, was found guilty by a jury for the murder of Hollis Stewart, 47, who was stabbed on September 19, 2022, inside a home on the 700 block of 20th Street in Niagara Falls.

Stewart was transported to ECMC but later died from his injuries.

Villane was also convicted of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He now faces a potential sentence of 25 years to life in prison. Sentencing is scheduled for November 10.
