Delhi Police have arrested two men associated with the notorious Kala Jathedi gang, thwarting a murder conspiracy linked to a property dispute over a water treatment plant in Prem Colony, Narela.
DCP (Outer North) Hareshwar Swami confirmed the arrests of Akshat Khatri and Sahil Khatri, who were intercepted near the Saboli border during a police operation.
During the search, police recovered a country-made .315 bore pistol with one live cartridge from Sahil and another live cartridge from Akshat. Further investigations revealed that Sahil had acquired a .30 bore pistol and additional ammunition from jailed gangster Akshay Palada. These weapons were later recovered from the disputed water treatment facility.
An FIR under the Arms Act has been registered at Narela Police Station.
Police believe the duo was acting under gang instructions to eliminate a target involved in the ownership conflict. The investigation into the wider conspiracy and other gang associates is ongoing.
