Akron Police Arrest Darrell Moore in PNC Bank Robbery

Second Suspect Still on the Run, $10K Reward Offered

AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) – Akron police have arrested one of two suspects involved in an armed bank robbery.

Darrell D. Moore, 35, was apprehended by U.S. Marshals on a charge of aggravated robbery. According to police, the robbery occurred around 1:50 p.m. on April 21 at PNC Bank on East Wilbeth Road.

Investigators revealed that two men carried out the heist. One of the suspects brandished a gun and threatened the security guard, while the second acted as a lookout. The armed suspect jumped over the counter, pointed the gun at a teller, and demanded cash.

The suspects made off with $8,000 after exiting the bank. Authorities are still searching for the second suspect and have announced a reward for information leading to an arrest.

PNC Bank is offering up to $10,000 for tips that result in an arrest and prosecution of the remaining suspect.
