Akash Dande Nabbed for Wanowrie Liquor Dispute Murder

60-Year-Old Malang Quresh Killed in Shivnerinagar

The Wanowrie police on April 27 arrested 20-year-old Akash Dande, the main suspect in the murder of 60-year-old Malang Quresh, from his hideout in Satara. The murder, which occurred on April 25 in Shivnerinagar, stemmed from a dispute over alcohol consumption in the Shantinagar area of Wanowrie.

Dande, a resident of Mohamedwadi, is the third person arrested in connection with the crime. His role came to light following the custodial interrogation of two suspects previously apprehended.

According to police, the altercation escalated into violence, resulting in the fatal attack on Quresh. After fleeing the scene, Dande had been hiding in Satara until police tracked him down and made the arrest.

Investigations into the full circumstances of the dispute and the involvement of all parties are ongoing.
