In a grim revelation following a post-mortem report, Parksite police have arrested 27-year-old Akash Aaldar for allegedly murdering his elder brother Rahul Aaldar over a monetary dispute. The incident, which occurred on July 6, was initially registered as an accidental death.
According to officials, police received a call from Rajawadi Hospital about an unconscious man who later died. The deceased was identified as Rahul Aaldar, and his younger brother, Akash, told police that Rahul was found unconscious while he was out and was rushed to the hospital.
However, on July 23, the final post-mortem and forensic reports confirmed strangulation marks and contusions on the victim’s body, suggesting foul play. Investigators then re-interrogated Akash and his father.
During questioning, Akash confessed to killing Rahul following a heated argument over money. He also revealed that Rahul was addicted to alcohol and had recently returned from a de-addiction centre on June 12, after being admitted in May.
Akash has been booked under Section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code, and further investigation is underway.
