In a major drug bust, Dehradun police have arrested two smugglers for trafficking smack from Bareilly. The police seized 112 grams of smack and the Scorpio car used in the smuggling operation. The arrested duo—Ajaypal, 24, and Deepak Kashyap, 19—were apprehended near Pantdeep parking by a joint team from City Kotwali Police and the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF).

According to the authorities, Ajaypal and Deepak were caught while smuggling the drugs into Dehradun. During interrogation, the accused revealed their identities and addresses: Ajaypal hails from Haripur Raiwala, while Deepak is a resident of Motichur Basti, both areas in Dehradun.

Ajaypal, who has previously been incarcerated in a drug-related case, operates his smuggling business with the help of his brother, Sonu Pal, who has also been jailed for drug offenses in the past. The police have registered a case against both smugglers and initiated legal proceedings.

The seized drugs, worth over Rs 10 lakh, are part of the ongoing “Drug Free Devbhoomi Mission,” which aims to eliminate narcotics in the region. Authorities have also confiscated the Scorpio vehicle used in the smuggling operation. The police continue to investigate the full extent of the drug trafficking network.
