Aiden Stone Arrested After Multi-Day Manhunt in Maine

Stone Faces Charges Including Assault and Auto Theft

NEWPORT, Maine (WABI) – A 22-year-old man from Exeter, Aiden Stone, has been arrested following an intense, multi-day manhunt in the Newport area.

According to the Maine State Police, Stone was first located on Thursday evening in Corinna, but fled the scene before officers could apprehend him. The pursuit resumed the next day after a citizen reported seeing him on the roadside. Stone again attempted to evade capture by running into the woods.

Law enforcement launched an extensive search involving multiple K9 units, drones, and a helicopter. Stone was eventually found and arrested in the woods near Newport.

He faces a wide range of charges, including:

Assault

Auto theft

Theft of cash

Refusing to submit to arrest

Providing false identification

Additional undisclosed charges

Stone was transported to the Penobscot County Jail, where he is currently being held.
