JASPER COUNTY, Texas (KTRE) – Authorities have arrested Aiden Dwyer, a 24-year-old from San Marcos, in connection with the recent arson at Savage’s Bar and Grill in Wimberley, Texas.
The arrest followed a coordinated effort by the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office, the Hays County Fire Marshal’s Office, and the Texas Rangers. Deputies executed a search warrant in the 500 block of County Road 737 in Buna, where Dwyer was taken into custody without incident.
Dwyer is facing charges of arson after allegedly setting fire to the popular Wimberley restaurant over the weekend. The blaze resulted in injuries to one individual, though further details about the victim have not yet been released.
The investigation is ongoing as authorities continue to determine the motive and gather evidence in the case.
