Scottsdale and Paradise Valley Burglary Suspects Arrested After Stealing High-End Appliances
Two suspects accused of stealing high-end kitchen appliances from multiple Valley homes have been arrested, Scottsdale Police said. Aiden Cornish, 22, and Trent Kennedy, 20, allegedly committed five burglaries across Scottsdale and Paradise Valley, netting more than $100,000 in stolen goods.
Investigators tracked a black GMC truck linked to Cornish via surveillance footage near Dynamite Boulevard and Alma School Road, where two homes were burglarized overnight between July 13-14. The footage also showed Kennedy riding as a passenger in the truck. Both suspects were connected to similar burglaries from June and a fifth burglary near Shea Boulevard and 131st Street on July 22.
Traffic cameras captured the suspects leaving the crime scene with stolen appliances loaded on a trailer, which were later stored at Cornish’s Tempe home. Police arrested Cornish on July 23 at a Phoenix storage facility, where they recovered 10 stolen appliances valued at about $65,000. Kennedy was also arrested that day.
Kennedy admitted during questioning that Cornish sold the stolen appliances and paid him for assisting in the burglaries. They used some of the money to rent a Lamborghini for three days, which they flaunted on social media by driving at high speeds on freeways.
Cornish faces burglary and trafficking stolen property charges, while Kennedy is charged with burglary. Police continue to investigate the case.
