In a significant breakthrough, the Ahmedabad Police Crime Branch has arrested Mangusingh Rathore and recovered an additional 40 kg of silver linked to the theft of 120 kg of silver jewellery from a residence in Rajkot.
Details of the Recovery
Mangusingh Rathore was apprehended late Monday near Naroda’s Mango Cinema. During a search of his home, authorities recovered 40 kg of silver, both in its original form and melted form, along with instruments used to melt stolen jewellery, presumably to erase its identity.
This arrest follows the earlier apprehension of Pradeep Prajapati, bringing the total recovered silver to 80 kg, while one accused remains at large.
The heist, which occurred on February 4, has drawn attention as the price of silver continues to rise, making recovery efforts more urgent. The Ahmedabad Police Crime Branch continues its investigation to track down the remaining stolen silver and the fugitive accused.
