In a coordinated operation involving the Border Security Force (BSF) and State Police, Agartala Government Railway Police (GRP) successfully arrested two individuals on Monday for their suspected involvement in a human trafficking racket.
The operation, conducted in the Mati Nagar area of Sonamura, led to the arrest of Shahid Mia, 33, and Faichal Mia, 19. These arrests are part of ongoing efforts to combat illegal trafficking in the region.
The GRP, under the guidance of the Officer-in-Charge (OC), worked in tandem with BSF and State Police to track down the suspects and prevent further exploitation. Further investigations are underway to determine the extent of the trafficking network.
